In December 2024, new orders in the German electrical and digital industry were once again a fifth lower overall than in the previous year - albeit with a very wide range and different signs among the various sections.

Exports of the German electro and digital industry managed to grow slightly in December 2024. Despite the recent increase, the total year of 2024 had to be closed with a minus – the first one since the pandemic year of 2020.
