A Responsible and Innovation-Friendly Approach to Building a European Data Economy

The German electrical and electronic manufacturers’ association supports the European Union’s proposal to build up a cross-European data economy. At the same time, ZVEI urges the need for a balanced, responsible and innovation-friendly management of non-personal data. A data-driven European Digital Single Market holds great opportunities for companies and costumers, taking advantage from digitization. In its position paper, ZVEI shows a way forward and provides solutions in order to address these issues.
