Railway Standard EN 45545 - application manual for electrical insulating materials

The EN 45545 describes for the first time European-wide uniformly the technical requirements regarding fire protection of all used materials in rolling stock. It is valid thereby also for the used electrical and electronic components.

This brochure is intended as a manual to understand and determine the requirements to electrical insulating materials and the design of the components. It does not replace the standard.
