The upcoming 5G generation of mobile communications is of great importance for industry. The 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation (5G-ACIA) has set itself the goal of successfully establishing 5G in industrial production and making it industry-capable from the outset. The initiative brings together representatives of the classic automation and manufacturing industry as well as leading organizations from the ICT industry.
The global initiative 5G-ACIA is growing rapidly and has four new members since January 2019: LS telcom, a specialist in spectrum technology, modem manufacturer Ublox, automation company Sick and the Chinese mobile phone supplier ZTE are now supporting the work of the initiative.
Deutsche Messe AG also became a member of 5G-ACIA on March 1, just in time for the Hanover Fair. It will support the initiative in its worldwide expansion. The first of these is Hanover Fair 2019 with a 5G hall. There you will meet the initiative at booth D38/23 and in lectures and panel discussions in the 5G Forum (D38). The forum is a meeting place for experts and interested parties who would like to exchange information on industrial 5G - for example on the topic of standardization and regulation of 5G. Here, too, 5G-ACIA has built up a great deal of expertise and became Market Representation Partner of the international standardization organization 3GPP at the end of last year. Within a very short space of time, this has made it the global voice in standardization for industrial 5G.
The programme runs every day from 10.30 am to 5 pm in Hall 16. You will also have the opportunity to get in touch with our 5G experts, who will answer all your questions about industrial 5G.
